EU Food, Forest & Nature Campaigner


(40 hrs  based in any country with a Greenpeace office in the European Union.)

The EU Campaign Area Food, Forest & Nature will kick-start transformational shifts in the food, farming and forestry systems. With nature-centred campaigning that will challenge greenwashing and false solutions, we will be working towards shifting minds and achieving transformative change towards less meat & dairy, the end of forest destructive commodities and an enhanced protection of ecosystems inside and outside Europe.

You are...

  • a person with a passion and readiness to challenge those who are responsible for the war against nature;
  • a proven campaigner, an implementer and practitioner who can lead - together with the campaign team - the development of the strategies and tactics, and ensure its delivery;
  • able to ensure collaboration and good working energy flow across the Greenpeace community;
  • able to deal with different cultures and working styles and willing to take on a wide variety of tasks as needed, including assisting with research, coordinating planning processes or outputs with a number of different Greenpeace offices,or facilitating internal alignment;
  • a networker, maintaining an overview of key external developments throughout Europe and able to identify and react to response opportunities;

And you have….

  • campaigning experience, with an advanced understanding of, and proven track record in delivering changes that made differences;
  • exceptional English in written and spoken;
  • analytical skills, from the ability to draft opinion pieces to meetings with officials, political and/or business leaders;
  • understanding of communication work (both media and digital), including the ability to translate complex information into concrete, credible and - when needed - emotional messages;
  • heart and mind for the fieldwork and readiness for intensive travelling with flexible working hours.
