We are looking for a new person to join our communication and engagement team. The new team member will be actively contributing to our public communication by giving life and meaning to our content and relations.
Responsibilities will involve the following:
participating in the creation of the traditional media strategy;
communicating with journalists proactively and reactively;
creating press releases and other relevant content.
participating in the creation of the online content strategy;
creating blog posts, social media posts, emails; live streaming of events, etc.;
engaging in meaningful conversations in both our owned online communities and relevant communities we target – not only replying to comments, but also provoking organic engagement through initiating dialog.
Collaboration with international Greenpeace offices and colleagues and other NGOs.
Support with the website and email database management.
Professional competencies: education / knowledge / experience:
At least two years of work experience;
At least basic proven experience in media relations and digital marketing;
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as PR, journalism, marketing;
Deep understanding of online tools, processes and techniques for customer acquisition and retention;
Fluency in both Bulgarian and English.
High level of autonomy and self-management,
Critical and analytical thinking,
Ability to learn fast,
Ability to cope under pressure in rapidly changing circumstances,
A commitment and enthusiasm for Greenpeace’s work.
Additional qualifications, which are not mandatory, but each will be considered a plus:
Any experience in creating and managing online ad campaigns,
Any experience with WordPress or similar CMS’s,
Any experience with Hubspot Marketing Hub and Mailchimp or other similar tools,
Any active contacts with journalists in Bulgaria and abroad,
Any familiarity with analytics tools,
Any basic graphic and web design experience.
All tasks will be done in a team of experienced people from Bulgaria and abroad. The individual should have proven knowledge and experience for the current role and responsibilities. We provide an internal onboarding process which aims to get the new member familiar with all our systems, security protocols and moral principles.
